Reflections on Judgment
These thoughts come from meditations on Matthew 7:4-5.

We are so quick to judge. Why? What are those of us that have the most to say about others often those with the most inner turmoil? Could it be that our 'mechanism' for detecting holiness arises out of our own insecurities that actually reveal our lack of faith in God, or that He is in control? Does our thirst for control make us insecure and bitter because we know deep down that we control little that matters? We rely so heavily on a network that we rarely do anything about or at our own power. Realizing this makes us small and that makes us uncomfortable and insecure.
May we reserve judgment, so to give God His space to work miracles.
